isla® trademark goes back 150 years. It was then that, on the premises of his pharmacy, Karl Philip Engelhard, the founder of Engelhard Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG, created the formula for this soothing paste with a pleasant taste for sore throat relief, which is derived from the lichen called “Iceland moss”.
Over time, the paste was replaced by lozenges, which are easier and more pleasant to take. isla® is available today in various flavours and with special ingredients and is the ideal treatment for people with throat or voice problems.
All products are made with the herbal ingredient Iceland moss, which has been known for its soothing effect since the 17th century. In some cases, Iceland moss is supplemented with innovative ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid.
