Nimesulide Farmasyn Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in the form of a gel preparation that contains the active substance Nimesulide at a rate of 3% w/w and is applied locally.
Indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation associated with sprains and traumatic tendonitis.
Nimesulide Farmasyn Gel is alcohol-free, does not cause irritation and is not associated with any risk of systemic side effects since it is administered locally and not through the systemic route.
Dosage and method of use
Adults: Apply a sufficient amount of gel (usually 3g, which is covers a length of 6-7 cm) as a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times per day and massage until completely absorbed.
Treatment Duration: 7-15 days.
Children: Nimesulide gel has not been tested in children. Therefore, its safety and effectiveness have not been proven and the product should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
